Blog Life Balance

Though blog-life balance is an important emergent issue in today’s blogosphere, many bloggers misunderstand what this concept really means. Balance is more than a juggling act; it is about being in control and feeling comfortable with your choices.

When thinking about blog-life balance, many bloggers think only within the framework of what the blogosphere should do for the individual. However, blog-life balance has two critical components. The other component, which many blogger overlook, is what individuals do for themselves in attaining meaning, achievement, and enjoyment in everyday life, including their blogging activity (work?).

While many blogospheres have distinctive extensive blog-life programs, networks and activities, a significant number have not yet changed their organizational cultures to support bloggers and readers (potential bloggers) who want to exercise blog-life options. Studies have shown that there is a direct correlation between strong support of blog-life balance practices and positive reader’s feedback, comments, and ratings.

These are all real, bottom-line issues. Explore your blog-life initiatives as part of your full-time (if you are) blogging activities. Work to actively promote and support the idea that bloggers and readers share the responsibility. When both of them are complimentary to each other, true blog-life balance can be achieved and everyone benefits.

So, do you have the courage to achieve your blog-life balance?
